Our wooden figures are very original incense burners. It is a German tradition to light incense cones in these incense burners at Christmas to spread the festive scent throughout the house. The upper part of the figure is separated from the lower part and a burning incense cone is placed on a small metal plate inside the figure. Then the upper part is placed back on the lower part and the figure smokes from its wide-open mouth. There are a variety of different figures that are prized by collectors around the world.
